How To Cancel Your Venmo Account
Venmo offers the convenience of transferring money between family and friends from your smartphone or computer, allowing for instant transactions when you’re sitting at the same table or on opposite sides of the country. At some point, you may want to delete your account.
Follow the instructions below if you don’t want to maintain an active Venmo account:
Go to the Venmo home page in any major web browser and sign in to your account. Your recent transactions appear, along with the main Venmo interface. Click Settings, located in the upper-right corner. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Close my Venmo Account link. A message appears telling you to review and download your recent statement before closing your account. Select Next. After you receive your Venmo statement, select Next. A warning appears asking you if you’re sure you want to close your Venmo account. Click Close Account to complete the process, or click Cancel to exit if you change your mind.
